As a Part-Time Professor (Lecturer – Industry Expert) at Brainster Next College, you’ll have the opportunity to share your expertise with the next generation of professionals while balancing your industry work. Responsibilities:
- Deliver High-Quality Instruction: Teach subjects from the curriculum, mentor students, and provide practical, real-world knowledge.
- Engage Students: Use a variety of instructional methods to create a supportive and dynamic learning environment.
- Critical Thinking: Encourage experimentation and critical thinking while providing constructive feedback to guide student progress.
- Collaborate: Work with faculty, staff, and community stakeholders to create and enhance valuable partnerships.
- Continuous Improvement: Strive to improve teaching effectiveness by incorporating new learning strategies and modifying methods to meet diverse student needs.
Relevant Expertise: Ability to teach at least one subject from the curricula of the Bachelor in Software Engineering and Innovation, and the Bachelor of Digital Design and Interactive Technologies programs. You can find the curricula here and here.
Teaching Structure:
- Part-Time Commitment with flexible teaching hours (10-20 hours/week)
Requirements:
- Expertise in Software Engineering, Innovation, Graphic Design, UI/UX, or related fields.
- Must have at least 5 years of practical industry experience relevant to their field of expertise, applying their skills in real-life environments within a company
- Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse student backgrounds.
- Experience in either college, vocational or high school teaching is a plus.
- A commitment to innovative, equity-driven curricula and teaching methods.
Ability to teach at least two subjects from the curricula of the Bachelor in Software Engineering and Innovation, and/or the Bachelor of Digital Design and Interactive Technologies programs. You can find the curricula here and here.
